Happy New Year!

2014 was a wonderful year for our little family. Lydia turned two, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary, we went on an awesome vacation to Indiana. However, the biggest accomplishment/event was that we grew from a family of three to a family of four.

The end of the year also brings about the end of our 2014 blog book. The biggest thing that we have taken from this year is that we have loved being together and feel incredibly blessed to have each other. 2014 has been fabulous but we are looking forward to the new adventures that 2015 will bring.

Year In Review, Phone Dump Style

So, here we are at the end of another year. Wow. It's been a great one. We were planning to do a "Year in Review" post that pulled some of our favorite pictures from throughout the year, but then we realized that we had over 300 photos combined just sitting on our phones - most of which had never been documented. And so, because we want those pictures to be represented here on the blog - and because it's actually a fairly accurate picture of the small moments of our lives, we decided to dump all/most/some of those photos into a giant "Year in Review: As seen through the lens of our cell phone cameras, that weren't already included on the blog somewhere else." Enjoy! 

(Note: we got new phones in June so this is really a year-in-review from June-on after we got phones that could actually take decent pictures.)

We introduced Lydia to cookies/treats. She loves them. 

We went on vacation to Indiana.

 

 

We loved, loved, loved our Thanksgiving Point Passes. (Museum, Farm, & Gardens)

 

 

 

 

 

Lydia was really cute and did really cute things.

We helped Jeff and Kaylee repair a shed in their backyard.

We played with our cousins and loved every second. 

 

We had a messy house. 

We welcomed Austin Scott Peaden to our hearts and our lives.

Lydia discovered her love of toy trains. 

We played with Henry at the Salt Lake Children's Museum,

and painted pumpkins together.

We went to Park City.

It was Halloween and we got lots of candy. 

David moved to a new office and ended up with only half a desk. But he got an awesome new globe to set out and dream about traveling the world together. 

My dad built us/Lydia these beautiful bookshelves. 

We had fun around the house.  

 

Lydia learned how to get into the fridge.  

We loved Austin. 

We tried to stay the night at Grandma Peadens, but at midnight - Austin hadn't slept at all and wouldn't stop crying. David and I drove home so that we could be in our own space, but we left Lydia sleeping at the house (with the baby monitor in Grandma's room). Early that morning, David drove back to take care of Lydia and I stayed and slept with Austin. These were the pictures we sent back and forth that morning to assure each other that all was well. (Oh, and Lydia watched Frosty the Snowman for the first time.) 

Lydia taught David how to do somersaults. 

 Had an awesome time at David's work party - Little America and Dueling Pianos. So amazing. 

It was Christmas and we saw lots of family and had lots of fun. 

 

 

It's been an awesome year!
