Austin carrying Lucy on his back. He is really a great big brother and Lucy loves playing with him and he takes such great care of her (although sometimes he tries to console her and make her feel better about something and she just does not want to be touched).

We celebrated Lucy's 1/2 birthday with a little bundt cake. (Yes- a bit late since her half-birthday is in December)

Cute Lucy

Cousin crew at the Haderlie house.

Austin was walking or playing or doing something fairly ordinary and did something weird to his foot and was in a lot of pain for a couple of days. Shantel took him to the doctor and they did an X-ray and it was not broken. Fortunately our neighbor had some crutches and let us borrow them for a few days and that helped Austin a bunch. After a couple days he was back to normal.
The kids did some awesome play-doh designing and built an entire waterpark out of play-doh (the sign on the picture says, "Welcome to Playdoh Water Park" There are waterslides, tables for people to eat at, literally an entire waterpark.
Lucy and the Perkins daughter Amelia.
Snuggling.
Jake over for a visit.
Shantel has been visiting my parents every Thursday and they have loved going over. It has been such a huge blessing for my parents to have her there to help with all sorts of things they need.
Shantel at church and her drawing she made for Lucy.

Jenna found a beautiful brand new home for sale that was within walking distance of her house. We've talked about wanting to move up near Jenna, but had not been serious before because I was not really ready with my job. However, now that I have joined as a permanent member of the National Assurance Office, we could technically live anywhere. Shantel jumped at the opportunity to at least look at it. We drove up and looked at the house and loved it. Like seriously so much loved it. It had a lot of similarities to our current house, but was just a little bit bigger and nicer. The floor plan was amazing and the price was pretty reasonable. We wanted to move so much. However, with interest rates so high, it actually would have been a bit of a struggle financially and even though we can move, I have not been totally ready to leave the Lehi office. It would probably mean working from home more often and a longer commute when I work from an office and I was not totally ready for that. It was hard because if I had said I was ready, I think Shantel would have jumped in a heartbeat. As it was she did call about getting pre-approved in case we decided to put an offer on the house. I went out of town the week after we looked and it and so we did not have a ton of time to talk about it. However, when I got back I was just not totally ready to commit. I'm grateful for Shantel because she was patient with me and respected that. Unfortunately we had to let the house pass by (it was right by an orchard too). I hope that when it is time for us to move we can find something we really love. Making big decisions, or even thinking about making big decisions can be really stressful.
