The Celebration

On our anniversary I posted about our wedding - but I don't want to miss out posting on what we did to celebrate. (We celebrated on Saturday due to the Sunday-ness of our actual anniversary.) I realize this is probably super boring for you - but I like being able to keep track of it on the blog. (I keep a personal journal - but you can't put pictures in a journal!)

---
Earlier in the day, my sweet little sister Melissa stopped by to visit. I didn't get any pictures because i'm a loser and I totally spaced. However - there is a blog post in the works about Melissa, and I will put plenty of pictures of us together in there.

For our actual celebrations, we decided to go to Rodizio Grill for a late lunch. It was delicious and we had SUCH a good time. We loved the atmosphere and all of the incredible food. I especially loved the grilled pineapple - I may have thought I was in heaven at one point.

After lunch (that turned into dinner because we stayed there for so long) we randomly decided to go and see a movie. There is a movie theater in American Fork where movies are only $1.50. We keep our eyes open for anytime a good PG movie goes there and like to go when we get the chance. We had just decided that we would drive by to see what was playing. Rio started in ten minutes, so we parked and ran inside. We even still had time to watch all of the trivia questions before the previews started.

Rio was really cute - but I couldn't help but be disappointed at some parts. (That conversation is one that should be held for another day.) Overall, it was fun - it made us laugh- and it ended up being the perfect movie after having eaten at a Brazilian Restaurant. (There was even a scene where they are eating at a Brazilian Restaurant and the waiters all come over with big skewers of meat. It was perfect!)

We talked about wanting to go get ice cream after the movie - but honestly we were so stuffed that there was no way we would be able to eat any more. I could barely move. However, anniversaries only come once a year - and so later that evening we decided to go get ice cream anyway.

I would like to note that the french fries were free because of a coupon we got in the mail. We figured that stuffed or not - free fries couldn't be passed up! Also - my shake is Raspberry Oreo, my FAVORITE. If you have never tried this combination, you must. It is amazing.

Overall, our anniversary was wonderful. We didn't do anything super big - due to the fact that the present we decided to get for each other this year is a nice big picture of the Logan Temple for our home. We even went shopping for one on Friday night - but turns out there isn't anywhere in Salt Lake that sells Logan Temple pictures. However Summerfest is coming up soon - and we may just have to take a trip up there to buy a picture! (Thanks for the link Lauren!) We saw these ones at the fair a couple years ago, but I think that we want to go with something a little more classic like this:

Or this:

In a really pretty frame. I'll be honest - i'm not sure exactly what we are looking for. If you know of any really great places to buy temple prints - let me know. (We haven't really loved the online selection at Deseret Book or Seagull Book)

What a great two years it has been. Here's to my favorite couple:
