I love family pictures. I just do. I try to minimize the stress of picking out outfits and telling myself that I'm not looking for perfection - just looking for a simple portrait of our family right now.
This year was extra special because we did photos in front of our house (although we did sneak over to use neighbor's rosebushes). We felt like it was fitting due to our last several months of quarantine and it turned out beautifully!
I told myself I was only going to put in a few of these pictures because we will print them big at the back of our blogbooks but I just can't resist adding basically all of them. Oh well.
I asked our photographer, Kelsie Christensen, to snag a photo of each of the kids - but I wanted a few more of Lucy to use as her ONE YEAR PICTURES! We were only a few minutes into the photo shoot when I realized that probably Lucy will need to do studio photos instead of outdoor photos because even though it was evening and the sun was starting to set, you could tell it was just very bright for her. I'm actually amazed that Kelsie got so many photos with her eyes open, even though none of them captured her real smile. I digress.
ONE YEAR!
This baby. I love her. We all love her. And these photos of her at this age fill my heart with joy.
