We are in the thick of winter and so I thought it would be fun to show some pictures of our awesome mudroom in action. I just love this space in our home so much for the storage it provides us to store the things we need and keep things organized and clean.
We added a bin of drawers for gloves, winter hats, masks (ha, what a weird world), and a bunch of Lucy supplies (like sun hats, sunglasses, bows, and shoes.) I love the counter for the landing space that it is and although it is sometimes more cluttered than this - I didn't take the time to clean it up before taking this picture. I wanted to show what it looks like on a semi-normal day.
Obviously the mudroom is often MUCH messier than this. But this is Lydia's zone right now and she does a good job of making sure the shoes are put away and the coats are hung up. The only think I wish was in the photos above is our library bag which usually hangs on one of the higher hooks and I put our library books away in there when we are done reading them and they are ready to go back.
I love this mudroom and am so grateful to my dad for coming to help me add shelves, hooks, the counter, and more when I was very pregnant with Caleb and determined to finish the project. It's perfect.
