Insta-Tuesday

I finally got with the times and set up an Instagram account! I haven't had a phone where having an Instagram was actually an option, but I've never been too sad about that because I didn't see what the big deal was. For the most part, people who have Instagram just post the same photos to facebook - and if I had a picture I wanted people to see, I could just post on facebook as well. However, it's been kind of fun to take and share photos that I wouldn't normally post to facbeook. (I like that I have much fewer people who follow me on instagram, so I'm not as worried about people that I haven't talked to in years - but still want to be able to keep in touch with - seeing all the details of my life. The same reason that my blog is private and I don't let a billion people follow.) Also, I like the way that Instagram is centered around taking pictures from your perspective. It's kind of a fun creative outlet.  

I joined Instagram as part of a program that I'm a part of (blog post coming soon) called #DropsofAwesome. And, I figure, if I'm documenting and having fun sharing pictures over on Instagram - I want to be able to record those memories in a more permanent form. Thus, the instigation of "Insta-Tuesday".  Each Tuesday I'll pull the pictures that I've taken from the week on Instagram and post them here on the blog. I like it.

So, this week I've been making sure to show David my pictures each night because I think they are fun. I've mentioned that he should just get an instagram so that he can see the pictures that I am posting. He was a little resistant and talked about how he would get an instagram when I got a Twitter. So... 

David, somewhat grudgingly set up his Instagram account - but then a few days later this little beauty popped up in my feed after David had taken Lydia to the Museum of Natural Curiosity for a little while so I could get some Red Ladder stuff done. I love it so much!

I think it's safe to say that we love having our new phone where it's possible to have apps and being able to share pictures and memories together. Hopefully you enjoy taking this trip down Instagram lane with us!
