Matthew & Brooklyn: Married

My dashing little brother Matthew found a wonderful girl and convinced her to marry him. It's so crazy to think of him all grown up and getting married, but they are absolutely perfect for each other. Both of my sisters are married, but this is my first brother to get married - which means my first Walker sister-in-law! We adore both Matthew & Brooklyn and had such a wonderful day celebrating their marriage. 

December 22nd: Salt Lake City LDS Temple

The day started with a lunch at the Joseph Smith Memorial building. This is what our family was in charge of and it turned out beautifully. There was a spectacular view of the Salt Lake temple, and it was a great chance to bring the Brand and Walker families together to celebrate Matt and Brooklyn.

The ceremony was at the Salt Lake Temple and was beautiful. 

(And we were so grateful for my cousins Chris&Tara who volunteered to watch our kids.)

The reception was held at the Brand home, and was really nicely put together. We think so highly of the Brand family. They are so nice and genuine and we are glad to be joining our families together. Their home was the perfect place for the reception. ANNND we got to see Jenna and Baby Jason for a few minutes (they didn't come earlier because Jason is so little - but it was so nice to see them). Also, Lydia loved the bouquet that I got as a bridesmaid. She carried it around all night. 

It was a wonderful day and we are so excited for Matt and Brooklyn. Brooklyn's dad shared a quote from Jane Austen's Mr. Darcy about Jane and Bingley and applied it to Brooklyn & Matthew. 

"You are each of you so complying, that nothing will ever be resolved on; so easy, that every servant will cheat you; and so generous, that you will always exceed your income." 

It was the perfect comparison for Matthew and Brooklyn and was meant as a beautiful compliment to their kind and happy personalities. I would add "You are each of you so loving and kind that you will always find happiness together, and that your future children will grow up knowing nothing but goodness and joy."
