A trip to Wyoming

I found this blog post saved as a draft on 11/23/15 (which just happens to be my mom's birthday). I didn't get it printed into our 2015 blog book, so I thought I'd post it here so I'd have access to it.

This Wednesday Grandma looked better than she'd looked in a long time. She seemed to be feeling better and had perked up a lot. It was so nice to see her feeling better. (Of course, better is a relative term- but she was much better than the last several times we've been there.)

We were able to visit for quite a while. It's such a peaceful time for me to be able to come and visit my grandparents. I sit and visit with my grandma while she's awake. I help her adjust pillows under her legs or turn her heated blanket on/off for her. Sometimes she dozes off and then I putter around the house doing some small cleaning things. (Clean the bathrooms, sweep the floor, fold the laundry, etc...) Lydia and Austin explore the house. Sometimes Lydia sits on the bed in the Strawberry room and reads books or plays with stickers. Sometimes she and Austin climb on the bunkbeds in the Bunkbed room (Lydia on the top bunk and Austin stuck at the bottom, of course.) I have SO many memories playing in both of these rooms and it makes me SO happy to have them playing in the same places that I loved as a child.

Lydia frequently likes to go outside and play on the tree swing. Sometimes I'll let her go out by herself. Sometimes I'll go out with her. But she loves it best of all when my dad comes up on the same day that we do, because he takes her to do the chores and play on the tire swing and on the "tippy trailer". He loves that she loves to tag along with all of those things, too.

Being able to visit my Grandparents in Wyoming is such a blessing to me.
