Dear Lydia: You are ONE!

Dear Lydia, 

It seems a little surreal, but you turn one year old today. One year ago you came into our lives and changed them forever. This last year has been the best year of our life and we wouldn't trade it for anything. Our hearts melted when we saw your first smile. We were amazed as you were learning to roll over, and cheered you on as you learned to crawl. We stayed by you as you explored new things because you liked to have us close and because we wanted to be there in case you fell. As we've watched you learn new things throughout this year, we have gotten glimpses of the amazing woman that you will become. More than anything we are grateful that we get to be your parents. 

You are the sweetest, happiest baby that we know. 

 You love adventures and love to explore new things. 

 You love to keep us close by, and love it when we laugh at something you do. 

You are full of energy and full of love. 

   Having you in our life is pretty much the best thing that has ever happened to us. 

 I can't believe how smart, how beautiful, and how big you are.
