We didn't get a single picture of anyone who came to Caleb's birthday party, but we got about a thousand of him digging into his chocolate birthday cake! So, even though there is no photo evidence of the grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and cousins that came to show love for this little guy, just know what it was a great party celebrating this birthday.
Without a doubt the chocolate cake was the highlight of the birthday party. (Second place was the 30 minute birthday movie of his first year that I made everyone watch while they ate cake, right?) He tested it with a few fingers, then almost immediately stuck his whole hand in it, quickly followed by the other hand. He eagerly shoved the cake into him mouth, and then spent a good amount of time trying to decide if he could get his face far enough forward to just stick his mouth right on the cake.
