A happiest 10th birthday to this beautiful girl!
She specifically requested the "birthday week" bags, and so each day she opened a new little prize. Candy, a game with dad, etc... the biggest hit were these silly little plastic bubble things. You could blow them up like a bubble gum bubble but they stayed like plastic. They were a huge hit.

Okay, that was a lie. The REAL hit was when she opened a note that said "For your birthday week you get to lead on a bike ride." Then we went into the garage and her NEW BIKE was waiting for her. She had FAR outgrown her old bike, but I was waiting until her birthday to give her a new one. She was so happy.

We gave her the bike a few days early because for Lydia's actual birthday, we were camping at Arches National Park! When David and I were looking for dates to go camping, this was the weekend that worked the best and we just hoped that it would work out okay with Lydia. When we told her, she was SO excited and I was grateful that she was such a good sport about it. She really loved celebrating her birthday while camping, especially surrounded by the whole Walker family.

Happy Birthday Lyddie-bug. We love you so much and are SO grateful to have you in our family.
