Christmas Kickoff 2017

One of my favorite traditions that we have started is our annual Christmas Kickoff. Here is a rundown from our fantastic day.

We did a special lunch (frozen pizza's for the kids).

This year we decided to do a Christmas Kickoff box. We had some things in mind we wanted to do and thought it would be fun to have a kickoff box. Our box had: Cherry 7up (we bought this a while ago and the kids kept saying, this is for the Christmas kickoff, so it was a must have), a new game (Giggle Wiggle), a few new Christmas books, a Hickory Farms box with summer sausage (more for us than the kids), new stockings for the kids, new Christmas plates, a chocolate orange, hot chocolate and the Rudolph the red nosed reindeer DVD. The kids loved it and it was really fun having it in a special box since those were all things we wanted to do anyway.

We pretty much just did what the kids wanted in the order they wanted. We played the new game and then did our movie. We had soda and popcorn and watched Rudolph.

It started to snow and by 4 or 5 we had a good bit of snow so we (me and Lydia and Austin) bundled up and went out to play in the snow and build a snowman. Shantel and Caleb stayed warm inside and made dinner (Hawaiian Haystacks).

We had a great time and finished the day with hot chocolate, dinner and some Christmas books. Happy Christmas kickoff!
