Some insta-snapshots of our life to start out the year.

Our Christmas break is winding down to a close. Christmas clean up yesterday, Zoo lights last night and starting work on the basement again today. I love the holiday season, especially when the weather is the perfect blend of snowy enough to be cozy and mild enough to play outside. I got some time to prep for our homeschool semester and I'm excited to start up again together. Heading into the dreariest months of the year with happiness and light - and visions of cozy blankets, books, and Hygge. #peadenhyggehomeschool

I've been feeling like a pretty crummy mom lately. (Newborns are wonderful and special and also a lot of work. And holidays are wonderful and special and also take a lot of time.) But I played "can't get you with the vacuum" with my boys before bed tonight even though I was just planning to do a quick vacuum of the crumbs on the carpet. They laughed and I laughed. And it was good for all of us. (Lucy cried the whole time, so... 😬) Little moments like this though. 😍 #iamthiskindofmom

Sunday Sisters. (Picture actually taken last week but I couldn't resist the matching dresses.) We've been talking this week about Nephi and going and doing and I want my kids to know that I chose to say YES to the Lord even in the moments that I didn't want much more going or doing. I have had to choose my Faith over and over this year and I will continue to do so over and over and over. In the dark and in the light. #sundaythoughts

I seriously only ever want to post pictures of Lucy. Then I remember that when Lydia was a baby I would take 2,456 pictures of her and blog them- and I don't feel as bad. Almost seven months and she's hitting my favorite baby stage a little early!

Cleaned out our car and found 7(!!!) chapter books in or around Lydia's seat. (Including one that we've been hunting for because its WAYYY overdue at the library. 🎉) This girl doesn't leave home without a book in the car, and is rarely found without a book in her hand (or close by)- but I laughed out loud at the stash she'd created for herself.
