Halfway through the summer and living our best lives. Trying to balance the desire to cram in ALL-THE-FUN-THINGS with the need to slow down, have some slow summer days, and actually get some things done.

Happy Birthday Harry. ⚡

Date night with my boys. (Our Primary is so cute!) They loved the magic show and as soon as it was over we walked home and immediately started watching more magic shows on the computer. I loved their sweet hands holding mine and Calebs occasional lean-in to say "I love you Mom." (Which to be fair were all after he asked if only Moms could come, or could dads come instead if they liked their dad better.)

Last night Lydia came to the Stake Center to set up 200+ chairs over three rooms to set up for Stake Baptisms today. She asked if she could come with me and help and I told her she could if she woke up and got ready. At 645 she wandered into my bathroom asking if she could still come. She matched her dress to me and we headed out the door. She was a huge help to me and I LOVED having her with me.
She amazes me and sometimes I feel underqualified to be the example she is emulating. Shes the one I want to be like.
Also, not only were there great lessons about service and church callings but also great life lessons about how to handle things when unexpected obstacles pop up (like a construction crew shutting down our parking lot right before 90 people arrived. 😳)
I just wanted to remember this.

I totally color coordinate my kids things so I can easily tell them apart. Everything from duffle bags to their activity colors on my google calendar. Lucy is purple (obviously), Caleb is green, Austin is blue, and Lydia is either brown or pink.
It made me laugh to see them walk down the street tonight (eating popsicles and living their best life) in color coordinated outfits.
I love that these kids are such good friends with each other. And I desperately hope that they continue to like their assigned color, because it's theirs for life.

An even better photo that I snapped after I posted my previous post. I would just repost, but I switched to using Instagram in my phones internet browser instead of an app and things like that are trickier. 😂😂😂
But seriously, Instagram hack- delete the app and use the browser. Its just inconvenient enough to prevent mindless scrolling.

All my Daniel Tiger dreams came true at the new exhibit at Thanksgiving Point. 😍 Lucy and i played at the music shop, walked through the clock factory, and delivered all of Mr. McFeelys mail. We sang songs and pretended to ride trolly. I love Daniel Tiger and my song for the day is "Every job is important, we all help in different ways." Especially because I was the recipient of so much help today. We had andtake primary training and not only did my presidency work around the clock (literally) to pull off an outstanding dinner training, but my sister watched my kids while I frantically finished my to do list and David gave his time to make it possible and then come help clean up. Im grateful for all the different help i got today, and grateful for daniel tiger, too.
