December Festivities

We have had a great December: full of events, time with family, and prepping for Christmas. 

Here are some highlights: 

Christmas FHE

Family Home evening learning about "advent" and how the symbols of Christmas remind us of Christ. 

Eide Bailley Christmas Party 

We had a lovely time together. The top moments of the night were:

-When Shantel noticed someone accidentally put some tissue paper over the flame of a candle which started on fire and brilliantly threw her glass of water over the entire thing, dousing the fire, and saving the day. 

-When David won, not ONE prize - but TWO! A new paddleboard AND a Ninja Creami. 

Walker House Pre-Christmas:

puzzles, cookies, and snow for the win. Plus a picture of my dad, who I adore, with his puppy Rugby. You sometimes see people who look like their dogs and it has been hilarious to watch Rugby turn into a copy of my dad. They are good for each other. 

Peaden House Pre-Christmas 

We were a little sick this December, so just Austin and David went to help set up the Christmas Village, but we all managed to make it for mini-gathering and Christmas Recital. 

Lydia is so excited to go to the temple for the first time starting in January. She and Grandpa Peaden sat down together to find names she could take to the temple on her first time. My Dad has been doing a lot of genealogy work the last year and it was fun to see him showing her the family trees and teaching her about it. 

The Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert

Leah Ward, who sings in the Tabernacle Choir gave us tickets to the Christmas concert. Lydia, Austin, and David invited Amy to go with them and they enjoyed the music and the many nativites outside. 

Baby Sylvie Baby Blessing

We love that Matt and Brooklyn live so close to us now. It was a special thing to be able to attend Sylvie's baby blessing and to be there to support their family. We are grateful to have them and Juniper and Silvey as part of our family.
