Wow, I can't believe that it is Friday again already. I had big plans for blogs this week - but unfortunately none of them came together. But some pretty awesome things have been happening around our house this week! Read on...
#1- Dinners around our house have been pretty awesome lately. Things always seem to go better when I have a meal plan outline - and I have re-committed myself to making sure to have a new meal plan each week. I try to vary the kinds of meals, and I mix and match old favorites with new recipes. My favorite meal from this week was our Malibu Chicken. Check out our recipe blog:

#2- I got it into my head that I wanted a bumbo. I'd been thinking about it for a while, but then I went to my friend Ashley's house and her sweet little girl was sitting up in her little bumbo and I knew I didn't want to wait any longer. I scouted out KSL and found the perfect little purple bumbo with a tray. However, it was in Payson, and I didn't really want to drive all the way down to Payson. I stewed about it all day and around 8 o'clock I asked David if he would be willing to drive down to Payson with me. He said yes (not even knowing why) and I immediately called the guy who was selling it to see if it was still available. It was, and we were soon on our way! We were about halfway down there when I started feeling pretty guilty about not being more patient. I mean, Payson is quite a trip. David was super supportive and again I was really excited to get Lydias purple Bumbo. When we arrived to pick up our treasure, the guy asked if we wanted any other baby stuff that he was selling. He said that he would give it to us for free because they were just trying to get rid of it! We snagged an awesome Ocean Fisher-Price swing that retails for $150 and a Jumperoo that retails for $100. Plus the regularly $55 Bumbo with tray- all for $25. If that isn't a deal worthy of being a Top 5 - I don't know what is!
#3- Lydia and I had the chance to play with lots of sweet friends this week. Both grandmas came to visit, plus hanging out with Bekah and Adaliah and a park trip with Ashley, Carson, and Elsie. Even Amy came down to hang out with us Friday night. We are so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

| This was taken several months ago - before Lydia was born. Now Bekah's baby (Elizabeth) will be here any day! |

#4- Mike and Ikes. Have you noticed that the new packages of Mike and Ike's have big scribble marks on them? After seeing this a couple of times, we decided to investigate by googleing the fruity treat. Turns out, it is a big marketing thing. David and I love to talk business, and especially marketing. All the talk of Mike and Ike's made me start really craving them, so as a little treat we picked up a little bag last night. Yum!
And last the best of all the game....
#5-
We decided on a house! After months of fruitless searching, we have finally found "the one." We will be building a house in the Thanksgiving Meadows neighborhood right by Thanksgiving Point. It is a McArthur home, and we really love it. The lot isn't the most ideal - but it was the last one that they had available. However, we absolutely adore the floor plan - and really feel like it is the right house for us. We put our money down to reserve a lot, but we won't sign the contract until August 1st. Can I say again, we are so excited! Check out this link to the Cameron: http://www.mcarthurhomes.com/floorplan.asp?FloorplanID=111&CommunityID=5 to check out what our new house will be like. (My favorite features? The awesome laundry room, the tech center, and the super open great room/kitchen.) It's going to be amazing. I'm sure there will be more to come later.
