One of my friends commented about how I've posted more this month than I have in a really long time. There are a lot of reasons for that, two of which are 1-more time (homeschool is done for summer and I was released from my calling as Primary President) and also 2-BABY LUCY! Enough said. This has been a wonderful month for our family - here are some small snippets. Insta-highlights if you will...

10 years and I'm still grateful every single day that I am the one that gets to be with him. Happy Anniversary to my best friend, my biggest support, and my forever love. ♥️♥️♥️ I have so many things I wish I could share/articulate, but these fuzzy photos from my Facebook archives will have to do. My mother-in-law, @suepeaden, has made a super-soft, minky baby blanket for each of my babies. I've loved going with her, picking out the fabric, and working to complete each blanket together. It's been a special way to bond with her, and with each new baby. Sad story: we were just under halfway through this blanket when I decided to take it home to trim. I folded it and put it in my diaper bag to take home... and then the very next morning my entire diaper bag was stolen out of my car while it was parked in my garage. 😭😭😭 My purse/wallet, brand new water bottle, cash, gift cards, favorite diaper bag, AND this beautiful half finished blanket. I cried for days, knowing that whoever took it just threw it in the garbage on the side of a road somewhere. (I was more upset about the blanket than anything else!) After I worked through the stages of grief, including a very snarky stage regarding the whole thing, I went back, bought new fabric and we got to work making another blanket. And today we finally finished it!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I loved working with Sue on this project and hope that baby girl knows just how much love went into making it for her.

39 weeks today! 🎉🎉🎉 In the past couple of days we've checked almost all the remaining things off our to-do list. Packing bags, finishing baby blanket, organizing my baby corner set-up, finally settling on a baby hospital outfit (with the cutest hat😍), etc... Last night David set up the new baby swing (that plugs in 🙌) and my mom arrived to stay with us until baby girl gets here! I'm feeling so excited and relaxed now that my mom is here and everything is ready. (That blue car in front of my house is one of my favorite things because it means Grandma is here!) I took my last of the weekly pregnancy photos I use to document, and everything is feeling a little surreal. I know babies come on their own schedule, but whether it's 3 days or 10 days I'm just feeling happy and excited.

An afternoon at the carnival with these two today was exactly what we needed. Grandma stayed home with Caleb and we enjoyed the afternoon together. My favorite part was standing in line (for a ridiculous amount of time) to get balloon animals, but while we waited I talked and laughed with Austin and had some good one-on-one time with him while Lydia ran back and forth from us to a juggling act close by. I loved how Austin wanted to be close to me, and I equally loved watching Lydia be so confident and carefree. Austin chose a giant bag of Cotton candy 🍬 and Lydia played a carnival game and won a small stuffed lizard 🦎. Plus we saw a large alligator at the reptile show and they both thought that was great. I love these two and I'm so glad we were able to spend the afternoon together. ♥️

Meet Lucy Holland Peaden. .

Born at 6:25 am (about 9 hours after getting to the hospital), Monday June 17.
7 lbs 13 oz (exactly one lb less than Caleb at 8lbs13oz, L&A were both 7lbs3oz )
19 inches long.

Everything about this girl is peaceful and wonderful and we've been soaking her in over the past couple of days. We just love her so, so much. .

A family of six and we couldn't be happier. Caleb came running into the hospital room to see his Baby Lucy and the kids were all so happy to meet her. I cried when they left, because I just love them all so much. 😍😭♥️

I'm sitting in bed writing out Lucy's birth story and just sobbing. How can a person feel so much love for a tiny little human? Also, day one at home went well, but I'm exhausted. It will get easier, right?

Lucy Holland. ♥️ You are so sweet and so loved. Being a newborn is hard work (especially with three older siblings) but you're handling it like a champ!

Lydia got a skateboard for Christmas and she's pretty much awesome at it! She tells everyone how her uncle @jacobcolvinwalker taught her. There are a few girls her age in our neighborhood who have skateboards and it's so fun to watch them cruising around. The ever talented @brooklynwalker.art recently sent her a letter with a darling drawing of Lydia on her skateboard. (Brooklyn is a professional artist/illustrator and is amazing.) Lydia idolizes Brooklyn for teaching her how to draw and this letter was really meaningful to her. I've found Lydia on several occasions just rereading the letter and looking at the picture. I'm just really grateful for family who loves my kids and is willing to invest in them and support them. And I love watching this girl grow in confidence and ability.

This is a post about how cool my dad is. #familyhistory This past week he, a couple of his siblings, and his dad, went on a road trip from Lyman, Wyomong to Gardner, Montana and then through Yellowstone - all on Rangers! (Small ATV type vehicles.) My dad kept us updated through Marco Polo (all these pictures are just screenshots of his adventures). I loved watching them drive through the mountains of Wyoming and Montana and hearing my dads commentary on their trip (including being stuck in a 45 minutes traffic jam due to some Yellowstone buffalo). My Grandpa Walker (Grandpa-Great to my kids) always says "Hi kids, Wish you were here." In his gruff cowboy voice whenever my dad Marco Polos us while with him and it is so endearing. Such a neat adventure and I wanted to record it.

In addition to loving baby Lucy. We've had some fun with Lydia, Austin and Caleb. We've played outside and at the park. We had a women's world cup watch party to watch USA vs Spain. Lydia built a hammock. It has been so nice spending time with the kids. I love them!

Lydia's "reading hammock". It's 9:30 p.m. She's been reading in bed since 7:00 p.m 😲. David describes her as a voracious reader and I think that's the most accurate description I can think of. She's also clever- she decided she wanted a hammock and she got David to help her problem solve until they figured out a way to make it stay. It's been several days now and she is loving it.

Fifteen plus years later and there are 8 kids between the two of us! Tausha is kind, strong, and genuine. I am confident that there isn't anything she can't do. She's always been uplifting as a friend and I'm still just so grateful for her friendship and example. From choreographing dances for show choir and doubling on dates through high school (including one incredibly creative scavenger hunt to ask our friends to a date-dance) - to living with her family for several months to finish out my Junior year after my family moved away - to seeing her about once a year when she comes to Utah to visit her family - this girl is just such a great friend. We ventured out of the house today for our favorite parade of the year. The Lehi mini-float parade is the best, hands down! We parked code to the parade route, Lucy slept through the whole thing, and the kids loved catching the candy and watching the floats. Plus we ended up sitting by the wonderful @karlishields and family. I'd say it was a post-baby Friday night win! #lucysfirstparade

June. You were good to us. A ten year anniversary, a day to celebrate @davidpeaden for how amazing he is, and our new Baby Lucy. ♥️ I can hardly believe that tomorrow is July. I feel like our summer hasn't really started, but with only a month and a half left I'm making plans and getting ready to make the days count!
