Caleb's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday Caleb! Caleb turned two today and we could not be more happy for him. To celebrate the kids picked out some special sugar cereals that they thought he would like. When I asked which one he wanted (Fruit Loops with Marshmellows or chocolate chex, he wanted both in the same bowl. He loved starting his day with the cereal.

After Church we had the Walker side of the family over for his party (Peaden side party is below).

Shantel made a darling cake with trucks (which he loves playing with). She even cut out part of the cake to show how the backhoe was digging it out.

Unfortunately for him we put him down for a nap so he would feel good for the party and he kept sleeping and sleeping and sleeping. We ended up waking him up...which went really poorly. He was so grumpy and could not be consoled. We tried giving him his vacuum present, and Austin gave him his present (a giant gum-ball) and he was still pretty grumping. After I took him upstairs to be alone for a few minutes, he started feeling better and loved the party.

The gum-ball from Austin was my favorite present. Austin was so excited to give it to him and was really thinking about how much Caleb would love it.

Once we got going Caleb loved blowing out the candles and opening presents. He tried super hard to blow out his candles and kept blowing and blowing- but they would not go out until Shan and I helped. The next week when we celebrated and my parents I put the cake in front of him and he blew out the candles before we could even finish the birthday song.

We finished the party by having cake, ice cream and watching Caleb's 2 year video.

Since my mom has been sick, we did Caleb's party the their house a few weeks later and Caleb loved getting to open presents and celebrate again.

Happy Birthday Caleb!
