Disneyland Trip Day 4: California Adventure

Our next day was spent at Disney California Adventure (DCA). This is so funny to me because I almost convinced us to skip DCA and just do Disneyland for 3 days. I can't remember all of my reasons for being convinced that it was a valid decision, but it had to do with being able to focus on Disneyland and having the time we needed to really enjoy it there without trying to squeeze in another park. However, DCA was our kids FAVORITE. At the end of the day they asked if we could skip going back to Disneyland and just come back to California Adventure (we couldn't because you have to reserve your slot for which park you want to go to well in advance).

We woke up early, ate breakfast at the amazing contintal breakfast and were out the door by 7:03 a.m. Something should be said here about how delicious the breakfast was, with lots of different hot food options, and all the breakfast things you could ask for. It was served on ceramic plates and glass cups and just felt very, very nice. I love a good hotel breakfast (or really any hotel breakfast if we are honest) and this one was one of the best.

Notes from this day:
-We "rope-dropped" and headed straight to Goofy's Sky School while we booked a DAS spot for Radiator Springs which has the longest and sunniest line in the park. Because everyone else was headed to Cars Land, we got to ride Goofy 3 times in a row and it made for such a fun start to the day.
-We didn't see many characters on our trip, but we knew that we wanted to take Lucy to meet Elsa and Anna. We stood in line for more than 2 hours (we ate lunch, and David took the big kids to do Grizzly River) - but it was definitely worth it. It ended up only being Anna, but it was perfect because she and Lucy were wearing the same dress and it was just so darling.
-  The vista walking into Cars Land made me stop in my tracks with how incredible it was.
-We ended the night by going on Grizzly River Run two times back to back before it closed. David said that he would go with them, then they ran back out the exit and begged me to go and I did and it was worth every splash. They wanted to go on it again but it was closed. It was the perfect end to the day as we walked past the light show and got to catch the end of it on our way out. Lucy fell asleep in the stroller so David took the big kids back on the shuttle and I walked her the 17 minutes home.
-Our favorite rides were: Goofy's Sky School, Toy Story Mania, Radiator Springs Racers
(plus I convinced David to go on the ferris wheel and I loved it)
